Clarification on Current Office Exclusive Listings and Clear Cooperation Policy (CCP)
As a reminder, listings must be submitted to the MLS within one calendar day of either the Marketing Date (if specified) or the Execution Date of the listing agreement, whichever is later.
For Office Exclusive listings, the Office Exclusive Form—signed by the seller, listing agent, and Broker-in-Charge—must be submitted via email to the Data Integrity department (DI@DoorifyMLS.com) within one business day of the effective date of the listing agreement. A copy of the Office Exclusive form can be found here. Please use the new version for all future submissions.
What’s changed?
We made a minor but important correction: The submission deadline for the form is now clearly stated as one business day from the effective date of the listing agreement, previously listed as one calendar day, to align with DMLS Rules and Regulations.
Please note:
This update is not related to NAR’s new policy on Multiple Listing options for sellers. We are currently reviewing our rules and services in preparation for this upcoming policy and will communicate any changes to you well in advance of its implementation.
What is this form used for?
The Office Exclusive Form is used when a seller specifically requests that their listing not be entered into the MLS for cooperation with other brokers and not be publicly marketed. The form, signed by the seller, listing agent, and Broker-in-Charge, must be submitted via email to DI@DoorifyMLS.com within one business day of the effective date.
Under CCP:
If an Office Exclusive listing is publicly marketed by anyone, including the Seller, in any way—such as through social media, email campaigns, brokerage websites, yard signs, flyers, etc., it must be entered into the MLS and made available to all participants within one business day of the public marketing.
In other words:
- Office Exclusive status is only valid while the listing remains unmarketed to the public.
- Once public marketing begins, the complete listing must be entered into the DMLS Listing Manager as Active or Coming Soon for exposure to all participants.
