Listing Videos Informational Guide Follow
This guide explains where your videos will appear, how they are displayed across MLS platforms, what requirements must be met, and what to expect after submission.
Where & How Listing Videos Are Displayed on MLS Platforms
Once uploaded and processed, the video will be automatically linked to the listing and syndicated to supported MLS platforms.
In Flexmls, the video appears under the Photos tab as a clickable thumbnail alongside the listing photos. When clicked, it opens in a pop-up video player, allowing viewers to watch without leaving the listing page.
In Paragon, the video will appear as a clickable link, such as “Re: Video 1.” Depending on your customized view, it may not display in a dedicated section but will still be accessible as part of the listing details. When clicked, the video opens in a new browser tab able to be viewed in the new window.
Client Portals
In Paragon Connect, listing videos are displayed as a clickable link under the "Virtual Tour/Videos" header. When clicked, the video opens in a new browser tab and plays in a separate window. Subscribers, buyers, and sellers all experience the video in the same way, ensuring consistent viewing across all user types.
The Flex Client Portal, displays listing videos next to the photo carousel, under a dedicated Video tab. If the video has been properly uploaded, it appears seamlessly alongside the listing photos. When a client clicks on the video, it opens in a pop-up video player directly within the portal, there’s no need to leave the page or open a new tab. This integrated experience allows buyers to watch the video just as easily as flipping through photos, making it highly visible and accessible on both desktop and mobile devices.
Paragon’s Collaboration Center is an interactive tool that allows agents to share real-time listing information with both buyers and sellers. Clients can view saved searches, agent recommendations, and activity related to their own listings.
When a listing video is available, it appears as a clickable link under the “Virtual Tour” or “Video” section within the property details. Clicking the link opens the video in a new browser tab, allowing the client to watch the content without navigating away from the platform. Both buyers and sellers have the same viewing experience, ensuring consistent access to media across the Collaboration Center.
IDX, VOW, Third Party Syndication & Video Display
IDX and VOW displays can vary based on how the MLS feed is integrated by the website vendor.
- IDX platforms, such as broker or agent websites, do display listing videos when allowed by the MLS and vendor setup. Videos typically appear as a “Video” link and may either open in a new tab or play directly within an embedded player. All video content must follow MLS compliance rule; this includes being unbranded and free from personal or promotional contact information.
- VOW, which requires user registration, also supports listing video displays. Videos are shown similarly to IDX listings, as either a clickable link or embedded video. Like all MLS distributed content, videos on VOW platforms must remain compliant with MLS media policies, ensuring no branding, external links, or contact information appears.
Third-party syndication platforms like Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.com display videos if the listing is opted into Broker Distribution and the media is compliant. How the video appears will vary by site; on some platforms, it will be embedded directly into the listing, while on others, it may show up as a clickable link under a “Virtual Tour” or “Media” section.
Video Hosting Sites
Please note that Doorify MLS does not accept YouTube and Facebook virtual tours/videos due
to the many live marketing links associated on the landing pages.
Doorify MLS does offer free video hosting through the WellcomeMat platform, which has the
ability to produce unbranded videos that meet Virtual Tour/Video requirements. WelcomeMat can be
accessed through your Listing Manager under Scheduled Marketing Activities.
