Flexmls MCP Server: Frequently Asked Questions Follow
For active Doorify MLS subscribers
Getting started & access
Who can use this?
Any active Doorify MLS subscriber with FlexMLS as a Front-End selection. There’s no separate application or technical approval — if your subscription is active and FlexMLS is a Front-End selection for you, then you can turn it on yourself under Preferences → AI Settings.
Why don’t I see AI Settings in my menu?
The most common reason is that your subscription isn’t currently active or you do not have FlexMLS as a front-end selection. If your account is active and you have Flexmls as a Front-End and still don’t see it, contact Doorify MLS support — whether the feature is switched on for an active account is the one piece that’s on our side.
Which AI clients are supported?
Any client that supports the MCP standard — Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, and other MCP-compatible tools. Claude offers the simplest setup for most subscribers.
Do I have to agree to anything?
Yes. When you enable the MCP server, you’ll accept a Terms of Use agreement. This is FBS/Flexmls’s agreement governing the MCP connection — there’s nothing additional required from Doorify MLS.
Does it cost anything?
Doorify MLS doesn’t charge a separate fee for the Flex MCP server — access is included with an active subscription, and there’s no separate sign-up. Your AI client may have its own pricing (many, including Claude and ChatGPT, offer free tiers); any such cost is set by that provider, not Doorify MLS.
What it can do
What kinds of questions can I ask?
Plain-English questions about the market and listings. For example:
- “Find lakefront log homes currently for sale in [area].”
- “What 3-bed, 3-bath homes with a 3-car garage are on the market in [city] right now?”
- “Show me the listing photos for [MLS #].”
- “Which residential listings in [city/ZIP/county] expired in the last 30 days?”
- “What open houses are scheduled this weekend near [address]?”
What Doorify MLS data can it search?
- Market statistics: inventory, days on market, price, absorption rate, sales volume, and list-to-sale ratio
- Listing search: search by property type or any field in the MLS, find open houses, and view photos
- My Listings: find and review information on your own listings
Is the data current?
Yes — the MCP server queries Doorify MLS in real time, so answers reflect live MLS data at the moment you ask.
Can it change my listings or send emails for me?
No. The connection is for finding and reviewing information — market stats, listing searches, photos, open houses, and your own listing details. It does not edit or publish listings, and it doesn’t send messages on your behalf.
I belong to more than one MLS — what data will I see?
You’ll see data for whichever MLS account you signed in with when you authorized the connection.
Privacy & accuracy
Is my chat content stored?
When you use a third-party AI client, FBS does not store your chat content or the data responses. How the AI platform itself handles what it receives is governed by that platform’s own privacy policy.
What can the AI access, and how is it controlled?
The connection uses your own Flexmls login, so it can reach the MLS data available to your account — nothing more. You authorize it when you sign in, and you can revoke access at any time by disabling the MCP server in AI Settings.
How accurate is the data?
The data delivered from Doorify is live and accurate, but your AI client’s interpretation, synthesis, and wording can introduce errors. Always verify AI-generated output — especially listing details, market statistics, or anything used in client-facing materials or a transaction — against Flexmls.
Help & troubleshooting
Who do I contact for help?
It depends on where the problem is:
- Not sure your account is active or if FlexMLS is a Front-End selection for you, or you can’t find AI Settings → contact Doorify MLS Support.
- Trouble with the Flex MCP server, your MLS data, or signing in to Flexmls → contact Doorify MLS Support.
- Trouble with your AI client (setup, connectors, billing, or the app behaving oddly) → contact that provider — for example, Anthropic for Claude or OpenAI for ChatGPT.
In short: if it’s about whether the feature is on for your active account, that’s Doorify MLS who can assist. If the Flex connection or your data is acting up, that’s FBS. If the AI app itself is the problem, that’s the AI vendor.
How do I turn it off?
Go to Preferences → AI Settings and toggle the MCP server off. Access stops immediately.
