Doorify MLS 2027 Board Election FAQ Follow
The Basics
What is the Doorify MLS Board of Directors election? Doorify MLS’s Board of Directors is elected by its Participant (BIC) subscribers as long as quorum is met. As directors' terms expire, seats go up for election.
Each election cycle opens with a nomination period. During that window, subscribers can nominate themselves or nominate someone else. Being nominated isn't enough to get on the ballot, though — to actually be in the running, a nominee must obtain the endorsement of 10 Doorify MLS Participants.
Directors elected in the 2027 Board Election will take office January 1, 2027 for a three-year term.
Which seats are open in this election? Three Stakeholder Representative seats are open for the 2027 election:
- RRAR Representative
- OCHAR Representative
- DRAR Representative
Are any At-Large seats open this year? No. All three seats up for election this cycle are Stakeholder Representative seats. (At-Large seats are MLS-wide and not association-specific.)
The seats open this year are for:
- RRAR Representative
- OCHAR Representative
- DRAR Representative

Eligibility
Who can be nominated for a Stakeholder Representative seat? To be eligible for a Stakeholder Representative seat, you must be a primary member of the association that seat represents. For example, only RRAR members are eligible for the RRAR Representative seat.
Do I have to be a Participant (BIC) to run? No. Nominees are not required to be Participants. Subscribers are welcome to self-nominate or can be nominated by someone else.
Can I nominate someone else? Yes. You can be nominated by someone else or nominate yourself. Either way, the same eligibility and endorsement requirements apply.
How do I submit a nomination? Visit your subscriber dashboard at my.doorifymls.com. To nominate yourself or someone else, select this tile and fill out the nomination form:
Can I run for a seat representing an association I'm not a member of? No. Eligibility is tied to membership in the corresponding association.
Endorsements
Do nominees need endorsements? Nominees must be endorsed by 10 active Doorify MLS Participants (BICs) from 10 different firms.
Can I endorse myself? No. Nominees cannot endorse themselves.
Do the 10 endorsements have to come from 10 different Participants? Yes — 10 different active Doorify MLS Participants from different firms.
Do my endorsers have to be members of the same association as the seat I'm seeking? No. They don’t have to be from the same association; they just have to be active Doorify Participants from 10 different firms.
How do Participants submit an endorsement? Participants who are asked to endorse a nominee will find a tile on their subscriber dashboard at my.doorifymls.com that lets them submit their endorsement.
They can look for this tile on the dashboard:

Voting (For Context)
Who votes in the election? Only Participants receive ballots for Board elections. A voting tile and a dashboard message will appear on eligible Participants' dashboards during the voting period. Participants can look for this tile:
How is the ballot organized? Because all three open seats are Stakeholder Representative seats, the ballot is divided by seat — a separate section for RRAR, OCHAR, and DRAR nominees. If there is no nominee for a Stakeholder seat, that association’s nominee will be automatically elected to the seat, and no election for that seat will be held.
Can I change my vote? Yes. Participants may recast their ballots as many times as they like before the voting deadline. The last ballot cast before the voting deadline is the one that counts.
Do I have to vote in every section? No. A partial ballot is still counted, and it still counts toward quorum. Likewise, you are not required to cast your entire allotment of votes for a partial vote to count.
