How Voting Works in the Doorify MLS Board Election Follow
Voting for the Doorify MLS Board of Directors Election will be open from October 1st at 9:00 AM ET through October 15th at 5:00 PM ET.
This year's election includes three Stakeholder Representative seats:
RRAR Stakeholder Representative
OCHAR Stakeholder Representative
DRAR Stakeholder Representative
Below, you'll find answers to common questions about who can vote, how votes are allotted, how to cast your ballot, and how quorum works.
Who Can Vote?
Only Doorify MLS Participants (BICs) are eligible to vote in the Board Election.
Most Participants will see election information and voting options directly on their subscriber dashboard at my.doorifymls.com during the voting period.
For firms with a Super BIC who oversees multiple offices, the Super BIC will cast the votes allotted to the entire firm.
How Many Votes Does My Firm Receive?
Not every participating firm receives the same number of votes.
A firm's vote allotment is determined using a formula that considers:
The number of listings entered into the MLS under the office between September 1st, 2025 and August 31st, 2026 regardless of the listing status at August 31st.
The number of listings in which a licensee affiliated with the office represented the buyer as the Selling Agent between September 1st, 2025 and August 31st, 2026.
One additional vote automatically allotted for being a participating firm.
Because multiple Board seats are being elected, voting is cumulative. The firm's vote total determined by the formula above is multiplied by the number of seats being elected.
Your ballot will show the number of votes available to you.
How Can I Distribute My Votes?
Voting Participants decide how to distribute their allotted votes among the candidates.
You may cast votes for candidates for any of the Stakeholder Representative seats, regardless of your primary association. You are not limited to voting for the seat associated with your own primary association.
For example, a Participant whose primary association is DRAR may also cast votes for candidates seeking the RRAR or OCHAR Stakeholder Representative seats.
You are also not required to use all of your allotted votes or vote in every section of the ballot.
How Do I Cast My Ballot?
Beginning October 1st, eligible voting Participants can log in to their subscriber dashboard at my.doorifymls.com.
Look for the “Cast Ballot” tile on your dashboard to access your ballot.
You can also learn more about each candidate before voting by selecting the “Candidate Profiles” tile.
Candidate profiles remain available throughout the voting period.
Can I Change How My Votes Are Allocated?
Yes. You may change or reallocate your votes at any time during the voting period.
If you make changes after initially submitting your ballot, your updated allocation will replace your previous selections. Only the votes reflected on your final ballot when voting closes at 5:00 PM ET on October 15th will be counted.
Do I Have to Use All of My Votes?
No. You may cast fewer votes than your total allotment and your participation will still count toward quorum.
You may also submit a partial ballot. For example, you may choose to vote for candidates in some races but not others.
You do not have to use every vote allotted to your firm or vote in every race for your participation to count toward quorum.
What Is Quorum?
A quorum must be reached for the election to be finalized.
Under Doorify MLS's bylaws, quorum is reached when either:
At least 10% of eligible Participant firms participate in the election; or
Participating firms represent at least 20% of Doorify MLS's total Subscriber count.
Remember, you do not have to use your full vote allotment for your participation to count toward quorum.
When Will Election Results Be Announced?
Candidates will be notified individually of the election results after voting closes.
Election results will be shared publicly in Doorify MLS communications at the beginning of November. Newly elected Directors will take office on January 1, 2027 and serve three-year terms.
