What are the Virtual Tour Requirements? Follow
Virtual Tour Guidelines
Virtual Tours are a great way to showcase a property and provide buyers with an engaging viewing experience. Whether you create the tour yourself or work with a third-party provider, we ask that the following MLS guidelines be observed to help keep listing media compliant and focused on the property itself.
Please Keep the Following in Mind:
- Virtual Tours and hosting sites may not contain contact information, branding, promotional messaging, or advertisements of any kind.
- Live links that direct viewers away from the Virtual Tour are not permitted, including branded QR codes.
- MLS media should remain focused on the property. To help ensure fair housing compliance and avoid unintended representation of a neighborhood or lifestyle preference, media should not include:
- Real estate agents or firm representatives
- Individuals living in the home
- Groups of people participating in neighborhood or community activities
Following these guidelines helps maintain a professional and consistent MLS experience for all users while keeping the attention where it belongs — on the property itself.
Hosting Sites
- Please note that the MLS does not accept YouTube and Facebook virtual tours/videos due to the many live marketing links associated on the landing pages.
- Free video hosting is available through the WellcomeMat platform, which has the ability to produce unbranded videos that meet Virtual Tour requirements. WelcomeMat can be accessed through your listing under Scheduled Marketing Activities.
